info, specific
info I don't make the booklets in advance of the tutorial sessions. The booklets are made step by step based on the course progress so they are ready only on the day of tutorial session. This way I make sure the booklets are complete and useful to students. If you can not attend a tutorial session you can buy a copy of the booklet for that session on the day of session or afterward.
What to bring? Bring your lab manual.
Do I need to sign up? Yes, to make sure that I have enough booklets for everybody on the day of the session.
What is involved?
Please read the following information carefully so you can decide that if this tutorial session can help you or not. I want to make sure that you benefit from this tutorial session and it will worth your money and your time.
i-These tutorial
sessions are private and you need to pay for them (The Biology
department will offer free tutorial sessions before the each exam).
ii-Some materials in a biology course are pure memorization and you
need to know them the way they are, such as the names, the dates and the definitions.
iii-Some parts of Biology need explanations and the tutorial sessions mostly will focus on
these parts.
iv-Your book, your lab manual and your class notes are
enough to cover all you need to know for a test.
v-These tutorial
sessions will cover only the materials that need to be explained,
such as the Important Topics, Concepts, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Calculations,
Lab questions, etc.
vi-No time will be spend on the dates, names, definitions,
and memorization stuff.
vii-I will write down the answers on an
overhead projection so the students can see the answers.
viii-Complete set
of notes for the tutorial sessions will be provided. They are hand written
and they are based on your course outline and your text book.
Final exam tutorial: covers the whole course
